Worked through: attempt 90 of 100 questions, get 65 right and 25 wrong, and you score 65 − 8.25 = 56.75 — not 65. Three wrong guesses cancel a correct answer. That is why the practical rule is guess only after eliminating two options: at 50/50 the bet is clearly worth it, at 25% it is not. Every mock here applies the same arithmetic, so your score is directly comparable to a real attempt — and the explanations after each mock show you where your eliminations were actually sound. One caveat worth reading your own notification for: a few Kerala PSC papers specify no wrong-answer penalty, and on those the guessing calculus changes completely.

Which tier matches your target post

Pick by the qualification your post asks for, not by how prepared you feel — a tier above your target spends your revision on topics your paper won't ask.

Foundation Tier

LDC, LGS, Attender, VEO — SSLC-level difficulty. Best for beginners. All Foundation mocks are free.

Graduate Tier

Secretariat Assistant, University Assistant, Company Board — degree-level difficulty. All Graduate mocks are free.

Advanced Tier

Plus One/Two SCERT level — for serious aspirants targeting top ranks and KAS-level exams.

Kerala PSC mock tests — common questions

How does Kerala PSC negative marking work?

In the exams that apply it — and most Kerala PSC OMR papers do, though some notifications specify none, so check yours — every correct answer adds 1 mark and every wrong answer subtracts 0.33 of a mark. Unanswered questions cost nothing. So three wrong guesses wipe out one correct answer — if you attempt 90 of 100 questions and get 65 right and 25 wrong, you score 65 − 8.25 = 56.75, not 65. Every mock on this site applies the same arithmetic, which is why a mock score here is comparable to a real attempt.

Should I guess when I am unsure?

Guess when you have eliminated two of the four options, skip when you have not. With four options and no elimination, random guessing breaks even at best and loses marks in practice. With two options eliminated you are at 50% on a +1 / −0.33 bet, which is clearly worth taking. The habit to build in mocks is recognising which of the two situations you are in — the explanations after each mock tell you where your eliminations were sound.

Which tier should I take — Foundation, Graduate or Advanced?

Match it to the qualification your target post asks for, not to how confident you feel. Foundation is SSLC-level: LDC, LGS, Village Field Assistant, Driver. Graduate (also called Degree Level) is the common graduate prelims tier: Secretariat Assistant, University Assistant, Assistant Grade II, VEO. Advanced is KAS and the teaching cadres. Taking a tier above your target wastes revision time on topics your paper will not ask.

Are the mock tests really free?

Yes, all of them, in both English and Malayalam. Sign in to continue past question 8 so your score and your wrong-question history persist to your dashboard; nothing on this page is paid.

How many mocks should I take before the exam?

Two a week for the last two months beats twenty in the final week. The value is in reviewing the explanations and re-testing the same weak topic a few days later, which only works if the attempts are spread out. Use the wrong-question history on your dashboard to decide what to revise rather than taking a fresh mock to feel productive.

Is the Malayalam version the same paper?

Same questions, same options, same scoring — translated, not a different paper. You can switch language per mock, and your score history is shared across both.
